Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Langside Meats, we take great care in delivering fresh, high-quality meat boxes to your door, no matter where you are in South Africa. To maintain product quality, our shipping process is carefully planned and time-sensitive.

Shipping Schedule

All orders are dispatched on Mondays from our facility in Komani, Eastern Cape.
Delivery takes approximately 30 to 54 hours depending on your location.
You will receive tracking details via email or SMS once your order has been dispatched.

Packaging for Freshness

Each meat box is:

Vacuum sealed for maximum freshness.
Packed in a polystyrene container with dry ice to keep the meat frozen or chilled during transit.
Designed to maintain cold temperatures until delivery is made — but only within the delivery window.

Why It’s Crucial to Be Available for Delivery

Meat is a perishable product, and although our packaging is designed for freshness, it’s absolutely essential that:

Someone is present to receive the delivery at the provided address.
The parcel is placed directly into a refrigerator or freezer as soon as it arrives.
The recipient checks the box immediately and stores the contents properly.

Failure to do so may result in spoilage, which we cannot be held responsible for.

Incorrect or Unattended Deliveries

We cannot guarantee the quality of the meat if:

No one is available to collect the order.
The courier cannot access the delivery address.
The parcel is left outside or with an unapproved third party.

Please double-check your delivery details before completing your order, and ensure there will be someone to accept it on the Monday/Tuesday of your delivery week.

What You Can Do to Help Ensure a Smooth Delivery:

Use a work address or a location where someone is always available, if your home address won’t be attended.
Keep your phone on and accessible during the expected delivery window.
If needed, let us know in advance of any special delivery instructions we can pass on to the courier.
